ENTERTAINMENT AT THE DUCK RACE
This year’s Duck Race offers a selection of the best party bands to provide entertainment that will guarantee to get you dancing and having a good time.
ME & MR Green
Me and Mr Green is the brainchild of Dan Green who, after nine years of leading the successful Me and Mr Brown decided that a change and a freshen up was required to once more take the party circuit by storm. Me and Mr Green bring the very best party music from previous decades right through to the present day and never fail to create an amazing atmosphere at your event. With over 800 weddings and countless corporates, festivals and birthdays under his belt, Dan has teamed up with Jeandre – an incredible guitarist and a massive bundle of energy, to create the perfect team.
Dan has taken his cover band all over the world in the last eleven years. As well as playing events all over South Africa, recent years have seen him perform at private functions in the UK, France, Italy, and Belgium, a real testament to the quality of the offering.
As well as Europe, Me and Mr Green has performed at events in neighboring Namibia, Zambia and Mozambique.
Me and Mr Green are guaranteed to get the party started and keep it there for the Day at The Duck Race
Three tons of fun
3 Tons of Fun is synonymous with great fun, positive energy, big smiles, and a good party. The group was formed 13 years ago when there was a realisation that it was time for real women to show off their sexiness and incredible voices and show the world that not only slender women can be sultry and seductive.
Sthe Mfuphi, Bulelwa Sakayi and Michelle Thomas are all Cape Town based now but Sthe (also known as Saxy Sthe) has her roots in Kwa Zulu Natal studying jazz at the Natal Technikon before moving to Cape Town in 2002. As a talented songwriter and extraordinary vocalist, she penned three songs for the group’s debut album “Larger than Life. A music video for her original song “Usibali” was released in 2014. She also currently performs as a solo artist and has been a prelim judge for IDOLS for the past 5 years.
Over the past decade, they have travelled extensively around the globe performing in Vietnam, Italy, France, Dubai, London, South of France, Zambia and Switzerland to name a few countries. These strong resilient women are always smiling, laughing and making their audiences forget their troubles and get up and boogie! Don’t miss them at The Day At The Duck Race 2022
